The braided Pachira Aquatica, also known as the Guiana chestnut, is a beautiful green plant with a braided tree trunk which might remind you a bit of South American mangroves.

Light: Place it in a bright spot with plenty of indirect light, but avoid direct sunlight. It can tolerate partial shade.

Water: Water when the soil starts to become slightly dry on top. Keep the soil moist at all times, but excess moisture can cause rotting of the stem and root system.

Temperature: It thrives in indoor temperatures ranging from 16-32°C, but never let it drop below 10°C.

Humidity: Prefers high humidity levels, making it ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. If the humidity in the growing environment is low, place it on a tray with pebbles and water.

Fertilization: Apply high nitrogen fertilizer in spring, balanced fertilizer in summer, and high phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in autumn. Stop fertilizing in winter.

Potting/Repotting: Repot the plant every 1-2 years according to its growth and use soil suitable for cacti and succulents.

Care Tip: The fiddle leaf fig has impressively large leaves. Clean them with a damp cloth to remove dust.

Height and Growth Rate: It has a moderate growth rate, and its maximum height when grown indoors is around 150 cm.

Toxicity: Not considered toxic.
